How we work

Two colleagues talking through a plan at a whiteboard

Most consultants stop at the report. We stay for the fix, and we build it with the people who will run it every day.

Listen first

We talk with the people doing the work before recommending anything. They know where things break, and the fix has to work for them.

Stay accountable

Every match has an owner. We check in, keep the work on track and make it right if it isn't. You'll always know who to call.

An old tree with roots spread wide across the forest floor

Hi, I'm Tagan Marnell.

I've spent my career in operations: stepping into businesses that are growing faster than their systems and helping them run the way their owners always meant them to.

I've led operations in businesses, run a production company, built my own consulting practice and kept the the details straight when no one else had time to.

Before that, and alongside it, I served 15 years in the Army National Guard. That's where I learned that no plan works unless the people carrying it out believe in it, and that the strongest teams are the ones where everyone looks out for each other. I later earned a master's in Organizational Change Leadership from Western Michigan University, and that idea has shaped everything I've done since.

Allgrove grew out of it. A grove of trees can look like separate trunks above ground, but underneath they share one web of roots, and that's what keeps them standing. My goal is to build that kind of community: skilled operators who back each other up, and business owners who get real help from people who care how things turn out. My hope is that Allgrove becomes a legacy of people helping people, something that lasts long after any one project is done.

I'm based in Holly, Michigan, and when I'm not working, you'll find me outside.
